Product Overview
The Porcelain Typhoon is a next-generation premium drill bit with a unique stepped tip design and hex shaft. It was engineered specifically for drilling quickly and efficiently into porcelain, masonry, and other hard surfaces, wet or dry. It drills 4 times as many holes and more than 3 times as fast as other standard carbide bits. Handheld drills only. No hammer drilling.
Key Features
- Optimized Stepped Carbide Tip Design: Features an industrial-grade tungsten, precision ground carbide edge that prevents bit wander, ensuring perfect hole placement from the very first rotation.
- No Lubrication Needed Mode: Engineered to handle the intense thermal thresholds of dry-drilling, though wet-use is recommended for maximum bit longevity.
- Impact-Rated Hex Shank: Features a quick-change 1/4-inch hex shank designed to prevent slippage and maximize torque transfer in standard rotary drill drivers.

Instructions (for maximum durability):
- 1. DIP IN WATER before drilling and about every 5 seconds during drilling (more often when going thru harder materials). We find dipping in water is more effective at cooling the Porcelain bits than spraying.
- 2. FIRM PRESSURE: Let the bit do the work - Do not apply excessive pressure. Place the drill bit on the specified mark, apply pressure, listen for a slight CRUNCH, and start your drilling process. Drill straight into hole and do not wiggle drill.
- 3. USE PROPER DRILLING SPEED: Speedbit: 2,300 rpms and slowed down while breaking through the hole. NOTE the higher speed for the Speedbit as most other spear point bits recommend slower speeds of 400-800 rpms.
- Handheld Drills Only.
- Do not use dull or damaged bit.
- Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during use and when handling bit.
